You really need to work on your reading comprehension skills. No where did I suggest that the current wage levels are either desirable or that exploiting farm labor is a good idea. I merely point out that it is my belief that it would take a wage rate around $40.00 an hour to attract workers to those hard physical jobs. If farms paid those wages some would become uneconomic. Farms are unlikely to pay $40.00 an hour unless they receive tariff protection from cheap foreign imports from low wage countries.
