I'd like to point out that float turnover has never been a very accurate indicator because its logic demands that the entire float change hands. We all know of course, that a great % of the float may be held by longs who will not sell. So the cumulative total of volume traded over a period of time may be result of a minority % of the float -- shorts, short-termers, traders, etc.
