CSCO is important perception-wise, as for me though, I think that Cisco is far less important than perceived. It's a tech mutual fund now that trades at a ridiculous premium to NAV. CSCO will be for a long time under pressure as anytime it rallies Funds will sell it to raise $$$ to buy newer more promising ROE lower cap companies. For CSCO to double in price one has to accept a virtual $1 Trillion Dollar Market Cap on it. So in my mind CSCO is not the bell weather it used to be. It is fodder for distribution. I like MSFT as a big cap tech investment now a lot more than CSCO.
