Could you post some research to back your claim that we should have gone into Bosnia before 93?

No. Bill claimed that I would not have supported an entry into Bosnia had a Republican been president. I simply observed that I favored an entry during the first Bush administration.

As to the war/anti-war or pro/anti-military, I remember plenty of Republicans being against involvement in the Balkans. I did not agree with them, but I don't remember any of them protesting at the level of the left today - and certainly don't remember any military survivors being used like this for political gain.

On the level of protesting, that's pretty subjective. Hard to compare. But it goes without saying that the Clinton folk were much better at assuring themselves of international support for both Bosnia and Kosovo which reduced the criticism (there are several good books on this; David Halberstam's is my favorite). It's very hard to object, seriously, to trying to stop ongoing ethnic cleansing. My guess is that the Clinton folk could have done the same in Rwanda. A mistake not to do so.
