That was the most unrealistic part of the story. When that area builds out, it will be a two hour commute. You have to figure you will be able to get a local job.

Those people are willing to pay a lot more for the difference between local and out there in the boonies than the article quoted. What they are really paying for is to get out of those urban school systems.

My visiting grandchildren are bright kids. They are in the San Diego area, but the Poway school system. That isn't by accident. My daughter is a taskmaster, but they are really under the gun with their Japanese-extraction father. He has a EE and and LLB. His brother has a PHD in Physics and a Wharton MBA. Their father has a PHD in Chemistry.

So when school starts it's "books on the kitchen table" every school night for all of them all year.

Oh, BTW, the father is a patent lawyer for Qualcomm. I think I mentioned in the past that Qualcomm paid his law school costs. Good deal for both of them.
