I read somewhere recently that the weightings for the components of the NDX Index (Nasdaq 100) will be be changed next week in favor on re-distributing the weights AWAY from the largest market capitalization stocks (MSFT, DELL,INTC, CSCO) back INTO the smaller capitalization stocks

I have not heard such a rumor. I think if limits were imposed on the S and P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite, it would affect the price short term. However since this is not the case, I feel it should not have a signigicant affect on the price even if such limits are imposed

Strange price movement in the stock. I was expecting a movement up in line with other big cap techs. The good news is that the volume is quite high. Hoping for big break out later today as long the general market stays in good shape. I wonder if options expiry is impacting the price significantly.
