I'd love to say that Obama's tracing of Mussolini's path is a joke, hyperbole, overstatement, partisan mudslinging...
except it's not. When what he is advocating and doing align with the political ideology of fascist ruler Benito Mussolini good people cannot stand by and, like the press, cover their ears, eyes, and mouths like monkeys and whistle past the graveyard. We told you and and the proof is self-evident if America dares to uncover an eye and see it.
Take the examples - dictating what "free" businesses can pay their employees. Dictating who can run a company. Dictating what sort of medical treatment is "cost effective" and therefore allowable. Dictating what sorts of products you may own and manufacture. These things are all HAPPENING. President Teleprompter, who has never run ANYTHING in his entire life ordered that the head of a giant US corporation with years of experience at the highest levels in his industry step down because The Teleprompted One things he knows better how the company should be run. Mr. Inexperience thinks it is appropriate to tell some of the largest "free" businesses in this "free" country how much their employees should be paid. He thinks it is OK for the government to retroactively modify contracts signed by "free" workers in "free" companies by legislation, despite clear Constitutional barriers to that very act. He wants to tell you what to drive. He wants to control your electricity supply, your food...
But let's not lose track of all the trees as we try to take in the forest. Do you recall one other aspect of socialist regimes - regimes that claim to run so that everyone is "equal" and all is "fair" to all? The lowest farmhard is not inferior to the highest member of the politburo. Those running important government departments live no different than street sweepers.
Riiiiiiiight. We all know that was a lie. Millions didn't starve in Moscow as they did in Siberia. It was mocked in Animal Farm as some of the animals were simply "more equal" than others. Ayn Rand made it clear in We The Living as those in power had advantages and connections to get them luxuries as others starved and froze that that is how the Soviet Union operated. So?
So how do you feel being told to stop driving so much and emitting so much "greenhouse gas" by political leaders that jet all over the country for nothing more than partisan political purposes - indeed by a President that is unashamedly still campaigning to get his way instead of leading - by a President that ordered that a TRILLION dollar spending spree be rushed through Congress or else it would be economic ARMAGEDDON! Then he waited FIVE DAYS to sign it as he jetted around America giving campaign speeches. He told us he wouldn't hire any lobbyists and even signed a piece of meaningless paper to that effect to much media fanfare. Then he started giving himself 'waivers' so he could hire the lobbyists he wanted. He lectured us stupid Americans that we couldn't just turn up our thermostats as high as we wanted and mocked DC schools closing due to a snowstorm because they weren't tough like him, being (lately) from Chicago. Then he got caught wandering around his White House office with his jacket off because he had cranked up the heat in there with his mouthpiece explaining that it was like a greenhouse in there because he 'didn't like being cold'. Some people are just more equal than others in 'equal' societies. Mind you, that doesn't count when you're rich or successful in business - oh no! If you are then you must give (or have taken from you) the fruits of your labor so that they may be given to the less successful, the less ambitious, the less motivated.
Like most every socialist state, it is NOT the ambitious person who is successful in running a business and making things that people want that gets to be "more equal" - no, it is the political animals that have clawed their way to the top by being good at demagoguery and double-talk, not actually accomplishing anything that benefits their fellow man, that enjoy the fruits of being "more equal". You see, the CEO of a Fortune 500 company has to have his taxes cranked up and his pay limited because his or her steering of that company does not mean they are entitled to living in as big a house as they wish with the heat set wherever they want or to take a trip by private jet whenever they wish. No, it is Barack Obama, a self-described failed community activist and do-nothing lawyer who managed to talk his way (thanks to his teleprompter) into the Oval Office and then crank up the heat hot enough to "grow orchids" in there and Nancy Pelosi who can demand that the military rearrange their policies and schedules to suit her travel whims.
