I suspect that what was found out was stopped at the DOD level because they thought they couldn't give it to the FBI.

I'm still not convinced there was something there. That's why I like Drum's note about the General saying something. Was it Holland? For the moment, it looks to me as if the Commission did a very professional job on all of this, expecting later challenges like this. But I reserve the proverbial right to change my mind.

The most major cause of failure on 911 was the FBI. Because it was an institutional failure, nobody their suffered the consequences. In fact, they all got raises and promotions as the FBI was expanded because of 911.

Well, I agree with you on this one. And then one needs to take a look at the structure that kept Clinton from firing whats-his-name, the director. There was Clinton's damn second and third guessing; the Senate's support of whats-his-name, and specifically, Oren Hatch's support. And, no doubt, a great many other reasons. God help us, we need some help here from our friend Tek.
