Yes, it would be great to see Porter escape the clutches of that Fleming, eh.

I'm not at all a fan of cities in general, and usually am anxious to get my business done and get out, but that's never the case with Montréal. I have family about ninety minutes south, and when visiting always spend time in the city. Just the food alone - there's a Portuguese place in Vieux (sp?) Montréal where they do things with clams you couldn't imagine. The only language-related problem I ever had there was from an Italian who was trying to rip me off and chose to use the 'ethnic' thing as a red herring.

Whereas Toronto - well twenty plus millions of Canadians are unified by their distaste for it and Ottawa ...... while I'd like to remain impartial until i spend time there, so far my only Toronto experience has been to hike the full length of Pearson Airport only to find that I'd been at the right end in the first place and was late for boarding. It's about a mile and a half long, and this came after two flights totalling fourteen hours or so. Made it to Heathrow but i cursed for some time the Torontoperson who steered me wrong. A sandwich and pickle at Dunn's on Ste Catharine's is likely what fixed it up in the end, actually -g-
