USRX: buy, with a one-year price target of $100 a share.

CHICAGO, Nov 29 (Reuter) - Shares of U.S. Robotics Corp on Friday rose 4-1/2 to 78, bolstered by news that Dell Computer Corp will offer U.S. Robotics' x2 high-speed modem technology on Dell Dimension systems early next year.

U.S. Robotics said on Wednesday that Dell's Dimension line of personal computers is targeted at small and medium-sized businesses, small offices and home office users.

GS2 Securities analyst John Grangaard said the Dell deal is significant because it strengthens the computer company's existing relationship with U.S. Robotics.

Dell is already a significant original equipment manufacturer customer for U.S. Robotics, Grangaard said.

"Dell (remains) a major contributor to their revenue growth," said Grangaard, who rates U.S. Robotics a buy with a one-year price target of $100 a share.

U.S. Robotics was among the most active stocks on the Nasdaq.
