My current bill is $700, not $300-400 (that was what it was before the hikes). If I was charged the cost that PG&E claims, my kwh rate would go from $.13 to $.27; double ($700-$1400). Also, at the rate of increase of natural gas, it will also soon double again.

I know these costs and rates are hard for people outside CA to believe or understand, but I assure you they are accurate. Did that scare the begeebees out of you?

See my previous post on the CA ISO investigating "excess" charges and possible "price gouging". I believe that was have seen the era of the "virtual monopoly", when a small group of independent supplier collude to either drive price up or supply artificially down, to their advantage. They were taught by the big oil companies in the 1970s.
