The truth is we all have biases

By "partisanship" I meant affiliation with a political party. If you found a book in a bookstore entitled "Partisan Politics in America," would you think it was about bias? No, you'd think it was about political parties. In any case, my further discussion of party affiliation in that post should have made the context clear.

Of course we all have biases.

It's amusing to read so many posts extolling your non-partisan virtues.

I did not claim that non-partisanship was a virtue. I claimed it was a difference. Do you doubt that it is a difference? If you do, then argue that, don't impute your inferences to me.

there is a big difference between emotion and passion

Indeed, there is. So when you post a couple of paragraphs about passion, you are changing the subject.

Being unemotional doesn't necessarily lead one to the fountain of objective knowledge

No it doesn't. But emotionality interferes with thinking, which is a critical function of humanity.

Perhaps emotionality is what causes one to perceive the notions of "bias," "virtue," and "passion" in place of the actual written words, "partisan," "difference," and "emotion."
