Not only the body politic but the administrations (postal services, firefighters, police, the military, etc) and even the media (TV networks, showbiz) and --except for France, the UK, and the Netherlands-- sports (soccer, athletic sports). This is particularly disturbing, isn't it? Since we would expect from "enlightened" Europe to make a little room for its minorities in the showbiz and sports.... Well, even a black sportscaster would be considered as "miscast" by most networks.... Contrariwise, in the US, an "angry black male" basically is a guy who must wash his Mercedes himself for otherwise, he'd have hired some Mexican to handle it... <g> Indeed, Europe has nothing to lecture the Yanks on! Err... OK, except a few culinary tricks... As far as race relations are concerned, I think Europe today stands where the US stood in the 1920s.
