You do have to open an account with Compuserve to use S10. I'm so new to S1 that a comparison from me wouldn't have much depth. At this point...I still like the "community" feel of S10...having been in it for a number of years. I come & go with S10...mostly lurk...but have thoroughly enjoyed the great characters I've met.
