Doug,

you indicated that you "deleted" the program. Nowadays you're supposed to "uninstall", using either the uninstall utility that will be found in the program's folder, or using "Add/Remove Programs"\"Install/Uninstall", which is found in "Control Panel". If the program is listed there, that should fix the problem.

Also, check in C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup to see if the icon is there. Alternatively, just use the Windows "Find" feature: search for "startup" and when it finds it, double click...
