Solution et al: To answer your question indirectly, I just got off the phone with IR after a wide-ranging discussion. These are the points I recall:

1. Headcount is now 150 and rising. Company is leasing 18000 sf across the street and starting occupancy next month.Projected headcount by the end of year is 200. No trouble finding people......so far.

2. IDMS product has been through beta and is ready for factory use, but PR about beta customer will not be forthcoming until shrink-wrap version is ready--2-3 weeks.

3. Surprising number of customers are asking for direct contact and assistance from staff rather than taking product only and doing all the work in-house. This bodes well for future relationships.

4. Turnaround time from client contact to qualifying customer, product demo, contract negotiations to signed deal has been highly variable so far. But average time is decreasing. Just entered into brass tacks talks with a new customer after only two weeks since initial contact-a record.

5. Billing rates for consulting staff not available.

6. Two contracts closed this past week. Twenty-five qualified leads currently engaged.

7. Product revenue is recognized as soon as a contract is signed. If there are consulting services involved as well, that revenue is recognized as it is completed.

8. IA is engaged in testing as well as remediation, full-scale return of code to production. Testing is more labor-intensive and takes longer to complete than remediation, but consulting rates for this service will not be at the top of the scale(whatever that may be). Rather, giving customers a good deal for the sake of estasblishing a long term relationship will be the norm.

9. CA-Easytrieve will be in beta before the end of this month, as the PR stated. Beta will take about 3 weeks and then shrink wrap will be ready in another couple of weeks after that. CA-Ideal will go through same process and be dy by June 30.

10. CA-World has been moved up to April, as everyone knows. This is an indication that CA is trying very hard to meet their customer's needs by making products and services available in a timely fashion-particularly Y2K products and services-including UNICAST.

11. Prices will rise in the second half of this year. They will rise even higher next year as factory space becomes harder to book.

12. Will this Q be in the black? "That is Sandy's goal!"

13. Sandors doesn't know Ken Parsons, never met him.

Well, sports fans, that's your dirty(baker's) dozen, IA's version of March Madness.
