If Windows Phone users currently unable to access Google Maps through web browser is a situation created on purpose - and isn't just a goofy glitch - then it does not bode well for my free, open, cross platform access dreams.
Seems like the closed, proprietary platforms nightmare scenario may indeed be unfolding:

Isn't working from my WP7.5 handset. Redirects to mobile search. Too bad-- I much prefer Google to Bing Maps.
