Dennis, Re: The use of servos to stabilize laser guns I've thought of this servo possibility in the past, but the "hunt-search-and-rest times" associated with even today's micro-mechanicals are long enough that you would wind up losing several GLOCs (Gilder Library of Congress units - I'm sure George wont be too happy with that association, but it's an acronym I once coined during a lighter moment on the thread after his name), with each passing truck, at the rate these guys are talking about hauling data. The answer might lie, instead, with diffusing the stream (broadening it) as opposed to narrowly focusing it. But then you have phase distortion that must be compensated. Yucky...
