Dear Paul:

Well Itanium is still MIA going on 7 years. McKinley is also late as well as the continuing to slip "real soon now" P3-1.13. I remember how long it was to 8 way for Intel. That slipped by years too. The P4 shows how much the Itanium slipped. It went from non existant and not needed, to we have to release what we got and put our best face on it, or we will go belly up.

AMD slips are mainly due to infrastructure, while Intel slips due to bugs in things especially cores (bad performance is a bug too).
