Locogringo, given that California has a budget surplus going on two years now, I don't mind if Newsom extends "Covered California" to illegal immigrants, assuming that doesn't go against any federal laws. What I would prefer he focus on, however, are the following: 1) Funding law enforcement (including the construction of new jails). 2) More water projects, including desalination. 3) Offshore wind power generation. If it takes ten freakin' years to get state approval for even one "renewable" power plant, that's a problem. 4) More high-density development and less NIMBYism. 5) Less job-killing regulation like that stupid AB5. Just those five things are all I ask for. I think Newsom would agree to half of that, but even that is subject to his leadership abilities, which I believe are non-existent. Tenchusatsu
