Intellectuals are attracted to this type of thinking because it elevates their importance and the chance to impose their ideas on a world which would otherwise reject them.

It is so obvious. You just don't get it. We can't listen to people who try to think. We can't listen to intellectuals. We have to listen to people who do not try to think. We have to listen to people who label themselves as anti-intellectuals.

Wait a minute. Maybe I've got it wrong. Maybe all he is trying to say is that all intellectuals hang out together in places like universities and they really can't think for themselves.

If that is the case, then we should close down all the univeristies and burn all the books and start all over again.

(Obviously, I am not being totally serious. On the other hand, I don't really get it.)
