Jmac: fundamentals of companies don't seem to make any difference.... And this, in a nutshell, is the fundamental problem (no pun intended, heh) when a market becomes nothing more than momentum. And this applies in either direction; to the upside and now, to the downside. Fundamentals get thrown out during mania bubble periods, and fundamentals get thrown out when the bubble pops and everything gets taken out and shot. As an earlier posted stated....it's all about the back-n-forth around an equities set point. Speaking of which...I had to step out for a brief meeting, at which point the NAZ was down 120pts, and JDSU was down to ~$64. I come back to the NAZ ending up ~42pts and JDSU closing at ~$77!?! Not that I'm complaining here, as my JDSU nibble is now sweetly in the black, but what the F*K!? Ahem* Is this a schizoid market or WHAT!? John~
