A cheap VGA monitor could be had for about 75 bucks. But it may last no longer than your has or perhaps less. A flyback transformer is about 180 repaired. They can be fixed just as colour TV's can. I have a similar problem in mine. Get an estimate. There is a place in Toronto that fixes them. In fact any colour TV repairman should be able to fix. EC<:-}
