Interesting read but the author flays about missing the major reason FOX is doing so well. It's really quite straightforward.

1. FOX is more balanced in its coverage. What he describes as an "international" view is nothing more than a leftist international view, which looks at America and its motives often in a negative light. People don't enjoy constant negativity. And it's very clear they are out to promote Democrats and denigrate Republicans.

2. FOX has more intelligent discussions of news stories. The women who mainly facilitate those discussions are brighter, and more real. They aren't afraid to self-deprecate on occasion and good naturedly poke fun at their colleagues or tell them great job.

3. In summary, they have a better organizational culture.

Too many people at CNN think they are too smart for their own good. And most of them are pretty dim bulbs when a free-flowing discussion comes their way.
