OT Jack, I used to post on the Yahoo threads with my e-mail address as my name. I got at least 10 times the response to the e-mail address, then would post to the thread. There are many out there that read and don't write for fear that they don't have important things to say. I would not be surprised if the ratio is more like 100 to one. I know a dozen people who read the threads and don't ever post. The opportunity will be can they even get to your private message? I posted a lot on Yahoo before I ever joined SI. I even wrote daily summaries on the Yahoo thread of the SI posts (including URL's to the better posts) when ASND was in its dark days in fall of '97. A lot of that e-mail was just thanking me for the information, which showed me the expanded reach and readership. So I know from experience, your reach maybe larger than you think. But it is quite possible that the people who want to respond can't be because they are not on SI, or won't in fear of looking silly. Just my 2 cents, let us know what the response is.
