hi jesse

"How do I find out whether programs are 16 bit or 32 bit?"

you ask a good question, and i see that it didn't draw any replies. i am able to use norton systemworks' 'system information' feature to tell me whether all running programs are 16-bit or 32-bit applications. beyond that, i just haven't approached the subject in that manner. if you have either nsw or norton utilities, look for the info there, or let me know and i'll give you better directions to find it.

"I am planning on ungrading my win98 to win2K"

what i did do, though was to run the 'windows 2000 readiness analyzer' to determine what system components needed to be changed in order to achieve win2000 compatibility. are you familiar with this tool?

i don't know if i answered your question very well, jesse. let us know if you need more info.
