Epics, $30mio is chump change but the movie industry grossed a record $6.95B in the USA and Canada last year, up 9.3% and guess who led the pack with 16.4% or $1.11B? Thats the 4th time in five years Buena Vista has been number one. I agree ABC will continue weigh on earnings but it looks like "Good morning America" anchors Newman and McRee are out and Gibson and Sawyer are in temporarily as of Jan 18th. Since this is ABC's most profitable news program ($77mio 1st half '98) it is great to see management taking action to turn this one around. All that being said, why the heck is this stock trading 20% off its highs? I thought we would be seeing some real money accounts getting in this month. Based on the price action, either they are waiting for a dip or they know something about 4th quarter earnings... TQ
