Putin, however, is framing the invasion in a much broader context, including the expansion of NATO.

When the USSR collapsed, Russia, warts and all, should have been invited to join NATO. Too much cold war leftover bullshit going on today..

And China is playing along, because they're hoping to take Taiwan in the same way Putin is taking Ukraine.

That one would be a biggie. Let's hope that sanity prevails there.

I'm probably going to be accused of having a double-standard, but I DO give a Brandon about Taiwan.

No double standard. Taiwan matters to the global economy much more than Russia. Aside from the real danger of severe global economic fallout, China attacking Taiwan could escalate into a really bad situation..
