Philippines was never in the dumpster even when the rest of them tanked they held up pretty well as far as I know.Indonesia was certainly the worst hit they are not fairing any badly than they were during the last couple of years inspite of the 'elections'.Look at the economies of S.Korea,Thailand, SAR, Singapore and even Malaysia,as you know China and India never went through any crisis matter of fact they both had well over +5% growth. So I see it differently than you do.

You also may want to look at the recent IDC report on PC sales in the area,the satellite thing I mentioned to Jim the other day and don't forget look up the foreign currency reserves and current account positions of these countries compared to the previous years.
