I posted here or somewhere how I just found out that the trust funds managers for a large state university are suspending distributions from those funds "until the stock market recovers." What that means is that they have "invested" donations of every sort in some kind of "approved" mix of stocks, and instead of using the money for academic purposes they are keeping it "invested."

I guess it's the Woody Allen school of investment, i.e., "until it's all gone."
