PRESS RELEASE
The management of Westrend is pleased to announce that Taylor Rig LLC
("Taylor Rig"), a subsidiary of Westrend, has sold two new service rigs
to an Indonesian company. This purchaser has indicated that it expects
to order an additional six rigs. The purchase is subject to the
purchaser converting its letter of credit to cash to cover the purchase
price.
In order to keep our shareholders informed of Taylor Rigs monthly
progress, management will be releasing Taylor Rigs total sales after the
end of each month. For the month of April, 1998, Taylor Rig has
delivered and booked approximately $3,000,000 CDN. In addition, Taylor
Rig has sold, to be completed and booked in future months, an additional
$1,500,000, consisting of one carrier and the two rigs to the Indonesian
purchaser.
