"Anniversary" is a tough word. -g Do you save their best and funniest stuff? I've got a nice thick file. My favorites are a self-portrait drawn by my older daughter while in kindergarten. It's the first in which she is Asian. She's got straight black hair, slanted eyes and a huge puffy red mouth. I had it framed and it's in the guest room.

When my younger daughter was five, I asked her to draw a self portrait. She apparently got her mother's terrible drawing genes because her drawing was VERY primitive. I asked her again at six. No go. Then one day late in first grade, she came home with a brightly-colored picture of a turtle she's drawn. It had seven legs, each one a different color, and that's what I've got framed.

We have two and a half hours before guests arrive and my daughter, now up, is reorganizing my CD collection in her underwear. I've been playing CD's since Christmas and not putting them away. I've succumbed to bribery: she's earning ten dollars an hour.

The five foot tall pile of ironing on my bedroom chair is now gone, potato salad is made, and we're working our way to the upstairs bathrooms..... I have not showered. Neither has Bill.
