You certainly have a better understanding of this subject than I do.

If RSA seems to be evolving into the de facto standard, there must be
a large number of companies involved in it. I suppose that there can
be a number of successful companies using the one technology. Kind of
like the IBM platform and all the PC's or the VHS platform and all the
various makers of vcr's. If this is the case then what are some of the
other competing companies using RSA?

Is that how this can work? SKB licences its technology to any company
that is willing to pay for it?

I'm looking for some better understanding of this whole thing. Thanks.
