Hi Paul, I just spoke with the analyst who shared notes from the AEA convention as described in my post # 1328. She was not surprised that the licensing strategy was de-emphasised during the Conf. call since it could jeapardize ongoing negotiations. It did provide a chuckle, however, that "what was on the plate last week is not on the plate this week!"

I re-confirmed the $200 vs $700 mln and other numbers - it was stated that 4-5 years ago it cost $1 in capital for $1 annual revenue for the technology. In Japan it is $7 for $1 and with Valence's help it could be reduced to $2 for $1.

There were fewer attendees than I had originally assumed. The presentations were made in hotel suites with beds removed and approximately 20 chairs. About 6-10 attended per session with a few walking in or out during the presentation.

<<what's the story on the laminating facility? I don't recall this as being a seperate step at the NI facility.>>

I remember problems with the laminate materials from a N.J. vendor 6-8 months ago such as uniform thickness. The company had worked with the vendor and received good material for a while but the occasional bad shipment prompted them to purchase and equipment and move it to the plant in Ireland.

As Cal Reed stated: "We now have control of the entire process, from start to finish."

Cal also confirmed the 240 bi-cells per minute that translates to 10 cellphone batteries/min or about 12 million/yr for 3 shifts.

Best Regards, FMK
