The article you linked to said nothing about anyone sending any forces into Saudi Arabia. Instead, it discussed the problems that would ensue and the likelihood of Saudi unrest.

Your fantasy of moms driving their sons to military recruiting offices because of oil scarcity or high oil prices is a fantasy. It didn't happen during 1973, and it sure as hell ain't gonna happen now that our military is so much smaller.

Instead, as before, we'll have some combination of rationing and high prices.
