I'm not sure you understand what makes something science vs non-science. Science is underwritten by presumption. There is a great deal of belief that underlies the origin of the species theories, for example, and exploration in that field.

If you want to separate the observable and replicable as scientific fact that's ok with me but by bowing to such lab-cloak clericalism you sever the connection to exploration, discovery, and revelation which I also consider science.
