My nephew did considerable research and recently bought an Olympus digital camera. According to him and the Ritz Camera Shop, the Olympus give you the best bang for the buck. I just bought an Olympus D460 for $500 (price recently dropped to $400 I think) which has many bells and whistles. My brother just bought for his appraising business the Olympus 360 which is about $300. Hope this helps.
