About coverage. You know it really depends on the carriers. How they lay out the coverage etc. Air-touch usually has very good coverage in its coverage area. Just came back from camping long weekend. My sprintPCS thin phone can't see anything out there, where my friend's Verizon phone has 3 bars with its RSSI. The bottom line, it really depends on how many cells they put out there.
