Jeb's Florida voter roll scrubbing was pure racist fraud, had nothing to do with inmates in prison. The GOP-run computer consulting group associated with Vin Webber simply took every name and birthdate of an ex-felon (those who had already served their time) from anywhere in the US (8,000,000 names from Texas alone) and wiped out any voter in Florida who had a similar name and birthdate. They did not double check, plus they also racially profiled, concentrating on minority voters who would likely go for Gore. After getting caught they claimed it was a "mistake" and admitted it. But it was no mistake. It was deliberate. One reason Katherine Harris made sure all her hard-drives her wiped clean before there could be an investigation. The cover up almost worked until investigative reporter Greg Palast got to the truth. Major news services OUTSIDE the US reported it but a simple denial from Jeb's office made the mainstream US media back off, afraid to report it though they knew it was true. The NAACP then sued Jeb and won an out of court settlement never to do it again after 2002, but Jeb did it again in 2002, removing 97,000 mostly legal names.
