Sure, I can see that. Kerry was not inspiring - in fact, ironically the first inspiration speech I saw him give was at the recent DNC where he took a pretty aggressive tack.

I spent a good deal of time looking into the allegations, more than I probably should have. I bought books from both sides, read the accounts, and it is pretty obvious when you look into it that it was a completely unfounded set of lies. I guess that's why I surprised and a bit amused by the Republicans suddenly crying foul at a few pretty innocuous smears at Palin. Pretty darn hypocritical in the context of the woeful smear job on Kerry.
