i don't see how. initially cscc did not go up on the buy out from asnd, but instead asnd dropped. over the next 2 months the price for both went up. unless you purchased cscc at some high pre-merge price, the asnd buyout eventially paid off. for me i purchased cscc in the the mid 20's (24-26 range) and eventially sold at 35.

i agree initially the price did not rise, but eventually it did. this is an abberation for most takeovers for the price of the the purchased company to stay flat or even drop. normally the company purchasing will drop a little, and the purchased company will move up. this was when cscc forecast bad earnings, and the network stocks all were tumbling at the time. just a bad confluence of events.

personally i would take my chances with a lu buyout.
