Oh, Andrew...I just think that we are all under various types of stress. Some of us have relatives and friends in the area which has to be stressful indeed. Some of us just hear the cries of the people who are hurt or injured, or have lost everything and are in tears ourselves. And then we remember all our animals who are hurting as well, and can only howl, if they are able.
To all those horrors, we add the anger that too many people we trust to do the job over the years have let us down. We are mad at them, and should be mad at ourselves for not paying more attention.
I think that is what we are seeing this morning on the thread, and will be seeing everywhere we go. The shock set in yesterday as the day wore on. And now, the reality of the situation has started to really dent our conscious and unconscious brains,
As I've said several times, we are all just humans, trying to get along in the world, and most of us are doing the best we can under the circumstances.
The looters should know better. The people who tried to shoot up a police station last night do know better. They are scum. Unfortunately, they are still breathing, and are considered human. |
