Dennis, If you have signed the options papers with your discount broker you can sell the calls against your stock.

Your question reads, Can you make any money at selling calls after commissions. The objective of selling calls in this case would be to lock in a quick profit in expectations that the underlying stock will fall and be depressed long enough so that your sold options would expire and you pocket the premiums without loosing your stock. However, if the stock price rises above the strike price your stock will get called away. I am not sure that you want to sell calls against INTEL at this time since shares have been down from a peak of 165 a few weeks ago. A short term spike or even a renewed buying from the momentum money traders could cause you to loose your actual shares.

You would make money after the commissions only if the stock remains below your stike price but this is a risky thing to do right now unless you want the immediate cash and do not mind having the stock called away possibly. Hope this helped you.
