Jack, I must tell you that it is a theory and it may very well be untrue. The truth is that I haven't taken it to the company to see if they can give me answers that would debunk it. That conversation will happen soon and I will share it with you. A lot has changed since 1988 when Iridium was concieved and the early ninties when it was designed.

The only investors in Iridium that will have no chips to play with when the eventual restructuring comes are the public shareholders. The order of bargaining power goes like this: Motorola, bondholders, other creditors, Iridium partners (orginal equity investors), other strategic investors (gateways, service marketers) and lastly the public IRIDF shareholders. They all have chips. I wouldn't want to be at the same poker table with a whole lot of money in the pot with these guys.
