Distorting Death the Kossack Way

A War Pragmatist Tries Demographics of Death

Kos, "war pragmatist" that he is, has up a map that implies the blue states are dying for a red state war in Iraq. Of course Kos the war pragmatist does not actually say that, though he implies it. Many of his Kossacks do say it, however.
While some point out that more soldiers die from areas of higher concentration, which tend to be in urban areas, which tend to be Democrat, most Kossacks say things like this (link below).

Byron York links to this chart (link below), which shows military deaths per 100,000, which gives a better picture, and which shows that red state predominate the top ten and blue states predominate the bottom ten.

But, let's be honest shall we?

The Kossacks don't really care, except for political gain. That's right, you heard me. Most of the Kossacks may "support the troops," but they hate the military, hate Bush, and are opposed not just to the Iraq War, but to war in general -- that which the military does. Kos may be a "war pragmatist," but reading DailyKos, you'd think the only valuable soldiers are the dead and wounded, because those are the ones they can trumpet to attack the war.

The demographics of death in this war are not relevant to any discussion. The soldiers who died fought for their country and it is silly anti-war nonsense to try to recreate the blue state - red state divide with the bodies of dead soldiers.
