I wish all the Cassandras you've cited who wish to blame Big Oil for wetlands loss and the resulting hurricane damage would admit once that repeated and more intense storms over the course of decades contribute mightily to loss of wetlands as will the rise of the seas. I guess Big Oil is responsible for those, too, and will soon be held responsible for natural geological processes.

I hate to see the simplistic and politically motivated characterization of an incredibly complex process but that's life in the big city these days..nobody but nobody is interested in the nuances and the unknowns.
