In 1948 the Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews.

This is a flatout lie. In reality, these mythical radio broadcasts were an invention of Israeli propaganda. As it turns out, a detailed study of the archives revealed Arab radio appeals for the Palestinian population TO STAY PUT.
