Who Jacked The Bus? Jersey Goddess blog
CNN reported that the first evacuees/refugees arrived at the Houston Astrodome from New Orleans, but they showed up far too early. Why? Apparently somebody, supposedly a 20-year-old, busjacked a New Orleans Parish Schools school bus, told people to get on, and drove the stranded to Houston himself.
Er, homeboy's in trouble. He stole a bus. We have consequences to be faced here. But homeboy's got skillz and initiative. They verified that the people were indeed from New Orleans, were definitely in need, but they did not come from the Superdome. As long as they're not a band of thieves, then they're one less group to get out. And the group did include children, babies, and people in need of medical assistance. (No, I don't support lawlessness. I just want to move on to something else now.)
Should the busjacker go to jail, or should we clean him up and let him compete on next season's Apprentice? Perhaps he should be screentested for the revival of escape from hell city movies. You remember those films with Kurt Russell: Escape from New York, Escape from L.A., and now the true story, "Escape from NOLA." If he wasn't one of the people who boosted a gun, then perhaps he's just a young desperate man who heard the Moses call. jerseygoddess.blogspot.com |
