Dear Scumbria: I do not start wars, your method, get into the muck, look at short term, forget about the long term, gets one into a lot of trouble. Isn't that what you accuse the government of doing? Most of those that are in for the long term know that just does not work. Those who forget history are bound to repeat it. As to taking a firm line, MAD was the greatest firm line so far. It worked and keeps working for the most part for over 50 years. Appeasement got into WWII as well as many other conflicts. History shows that deals with criminals, terrorists, and kidnappers never work. So, why start down that same road now. Easy entry, hard to get off of. I guess you still need to learn that lesson.
