Absolutely not fair to the Iraqis to leave now. There are many who are looking forward to self rule and democracy. People like Sadr etc. should be dealt with differently from banning his publication etc.

I am not sure how much the US is spending on literature, pamphlet, Voice of America type stuff to capture the minds and hearts of the Iraqis. This should counter Sadr and his publications and the Al Jazeera etc. Bush should bring in contractors from Arab nations like Egypt etc., contractors from Muslim countries instead of having the US military troops on the street along with US contractors. The US troops should be confined to the barracks and called out only to quell civil unrest.

This is a long drawn out affair. Bush cannot say that he is going to hand over power to the Iraqis by June 30 and say "Mission Accomplished" and hence "Vote for Me."

Once we are in there, let us finish it. We could not and would not want to work with the nations of the world going into Iraq. At least we can start to work with them on the way out of Iraq.
